Alexandra District Hospital

Alexandra District Hospital, Victoria

The Alexandra District hospital (ADH) in Central Victoria provides integrated surgical and acute medical services, with co-located community health services, offering a vastly improved environment for patients and staff. The single storey building is located on vacant land to the east of the existing hospital site with outstanding views to the neighbouring hills. The hospital's design features include: utilising ESD principles to minimise environmental impact; allowing for future expansion and employing bushfire resistant design elements. Facilities include new acute beds, emergency stabilisation, operating suites, day stay facilities, community health facilities, radiology, pathology and administration/support facilities. In addition, a new, three-vehicle Alexandra Ambulance Service is co-located on the south-east corner of the new hospital site.
