Alfred Headspace

The headspace model of care which seeks to identify and engage young people at a much earlier stage who are at risk of mental health and related issues such as depression, anxiety, bullying, body image and substance misuse  has been rolled out across 30 remote, rural, regional and metropolitan localities.
The recently completed Alfred Headspace fitout in Bentleigh, Victoria has a strong emphasis on the integration and coordination of mental health service provision so that the full range of a young person's needs are identified and responded to. The space planning is driven by a practice model of constant communication, high visibility and interaction between staff and clients, co-locating private medical, psychological and psychiatric practitioners together with state/territory funded mental health and drug and alcohol workers, as well as vocational assistance providers.
