Williamstown Cricket Ground Pavilion and Function

Williamstown Cricket Ground Pavilion and Function Centre, Melbourne

The refurbishment of the Williamstown Cricket Ground Pavilion allows sporting players, spectators and sporting associations to enjoy new facilities. The extension at the rear of the grandstand, developed as a commercial function centre, provides public facilities with magnificent views overlooking Port Phillip Bay and the cricket ground, while offering an interface with the coastal foreshore.

Involving extensive community consultation, the project required sensitivity to the existing architectural language, a commitment to improving universal access, an ESD strategy and integration of the rear of the site with the coastline and pedestrian and cyclist access.
