Miner's Rest Primary School Opens After Completing Construction

The exciting new Miners Rest Primary School redevelopment brings extensive upgrades, including new classrooms, specialty learning spaces and sports facilities. The new buildings have been designed to introduce much needed modernised teaching and learning configurations for the school and its diverse users. Completed over 2 separable portions in mid and late 2021, the new buildings have been carefully considered to encompass the future vision of the school through flexible and dynamic design strategies that enhance learning opportunities for students whilst allowing for the welcomed expansion of the growing school.



The team at Tectura Architects were invited to attend the official Miners Rest Primary School opening in their new gymnasium on 29 May 2022 and we are delighted to see the new space being used and becoming such an integral addition for the budding school and local community groups.

A valued asset to Melbourne Polytechnic’s refurbished Greensborough Campus is the Melbourne Innovation Centre, an internationally acclaimed business incubator providing expertise, training, programs and networks to help grow sustainable business enterprises, create work opportunities and boost economic development.

At the Greensborough facility there is a collaborative working space for up to 30 people, as well as 24 offices—including some with sliding partitions to form larger areas—a breakout area and a mixture of small-to-medium-sized meeting rooms.

The success of the Melbourne Innovation Centre is contingent upon the cross-pollination of ideas. Tectura’s design supports this by providing a plethora of flexible work spaces to choose from to nurture spontaneous discussion and idea generation.
